Activities Coordinators organised a street party event to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday on behalf of the Glenside service users.
All the service users made the most of the sunny day and enjoyed getting together for the fun activities and refreshments provided.
Steve, one of the service users, said “The Queen’s celebration party went very well, was well attended and we all had a good time.”
A range of music was played to commemorate music throughout the years and the Activities Coordinators dressed up to recognise the fashion style of each of the five decades of the Queen’s reign.
The £145 raised from the BBQ, cake sale and “guess the number of sweets in the jar” will go to MIND, the mental health charity, as part of the mental health awareness week.
