The Housekeeping team, employing 9 staff, forms a crucial part of the Glenside infection prevention and control processes,
by ensuring both the hospital and the home services are kept clean and tidy. They clean specified areas of the site, from the service user rooms to the public areas, such as the coffee shop in the hospital. As staff empowerment is one of Glenside’s corporate values, Housekeeping staff, as with other teams, hold regular staff development meetings to maintain staff involvement and communication.
Natalie joined Glenside three years ago as a housekeeper and has recently been promoted to become the Housekeeping Supervisor. Read more about Natalie’s story on our website “Day in the Life” pages.
Natalie says about her job “It’s not like cleaning anywhere else. It has its challenges because of the nature of the services we provide, however, it’s more rewarding as we provide an individual service to those people who see Glenside as their home.”
